Join Urban Alchemy at FORM metal studio for this fun metalsmithing workshop and create your own custom layering sterling silver charm pendants. Stamp a flower pattern, hammer a classic texture, stamp a commemorative date or mark your favourite initials. This is your chance to get creative and make something you’ll actually LOVE and WEAR! 

In this hands-on 3-hour class, you’ll learn the art of silversmithing from start to finish. You’ll shape, hammer, texture, stamp and oxidize three of your very own charms. This all happens in a fun, relaxed, and supportive space. No experience? Perfect. This workshop is designed for beginners.

• Three custom stamped or textured sterling silver charms. A favourite everyday layer charms—made by you.

THE DETAILS

• Skill Level: Beginner-friendly (no experience needed)
• Duration: 3 hours
• Class Size: Max 12 participants for lots of one-on-one guidance
• Age: 16+ (unless discussed in advance)

• Sterling silver materials kit ($40, available for purchase at the studio)
• Sterling silver curb chain ($40, available for purchase at the studio)

WHAT TO BRING

• Hair tie (if you’ve got long hair)
• Glasses (if you need them for detail work)
• Magnifying glasses (if you have difficulty seeing small objects)
• Earplugs (optional—hammering can get loud!)
• Good vibes + excitement to try something new

THE SPACE

• FORM metal studio is located on the second level of the Studio Arts building on 15th ave – Due to the age and design of the building, there is NO elevator. 
• Not recommended for those with mobility concerns due to the large flight of stairs needed to access studio.

GOOD TO KNOW

• Spots are limited to keep things intimate
• Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred with notice
• Creative flow can run overtime. please allow an extra 30–45 minutes just in case
