STONE SET STACKABLE RING WORKSHOP

Join Urban Alchemy at FORM: Metal Studio for a fun, hands-on introduction to stone setting and ring making! Choose a beautiful 6mm stone cabochon, shape your own sterling silver ring, and create a one-of-a-kind piece you’ll actually LOVE to wear.

In this immersive 5-hour workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of working with 12 gauge sterling silver while creating your own stone-set ring from start to finish. You’ll size, saw, solder, shape, texture, and finish your ring before setting your chosen stone. Previous experience soldering is required for this workshop!

• How to size and measure your ring
• Sawing and preparing sterling silver
• Soldering and forming a sterling silver ring
• Hammering, shaping, and texturing techniques
• Basic stone-setting techniques using a 5mm cabochon
• Finishing and polishing your ring for a clean, wearable look

MATERIALS KIT

Sterling Silver + Stone Materials Kit: $45

Your materials kit includes 12gauge sterling silver and one 5mm stone cabochon of your choice from the available studio selection.

Materials kits are available for purchase at the studio during the workshop.

WHAT TO BRING

• Hair tie (if you’ve got long hair)
• Glasses (if you need them for detail work)
• Magnifying glasses (if you have difficulty seeing small objects)
• Earplugs (optional—hammering can get loud!)
• Good vibes + excitement to try something new

THE SPACE

FORM metal studio is located on the second level of the Studio Arts building on 15th Ave.

Due to the age and design of the building, there is NO elevator.

Not recommended for those with mobility concerns due to the large flight of stairs required to access the studio and a fair amount of standing during the workshop.

GOOD TO KNOW

• Spots are limited to keep things intimate.
• Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred with notice.
• Creative flow can run overtime. Please allow an extra 30–45 minutes just in case.
• Stone selection is based on the cabochons available in studio at the time of your workshop.
• Your finished ring will be sized and shaped during the class for a comfortable fit.
